Incredibly popular large heather Moorland journal. These journals are made in the UK and the cover is made in our studio. It is hand painted before being stitched using machine and hand embroidery. We use textile waste from other textile artists to create colour, form and texture. This waste is ‘painted on’ using the sewing machine and the cover is finished with hand embroidery to pick out the detail of the heather. Each journal is unique. The heather moorlands are some of our most precious habitats on the island and many an hour is lost photographing and sketching these beautiful, but fragile environments.
The journal measures approximately 8x8 inches square and contains high quality cartridge paper suitable for sketching, writing and painting. This size is perfect your desk.
